What is Revitol Anti-Aging Solution?

The Revitol Anti-Aging Solution is a three part anti-aging treatment that is targeted to both men and women who would like to restore the hydration of their skin and look younger.  The system contains an Anti Wrinkle Complex, Anti Wrinkle Treatment Serum, and Moisturizing Cream.  Revitol promises to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while re-hydrating dry skin, smoothing out skin's texture and lighten the dark circles under eyes.  It also claims that it will help new skin cells to re-grow, encourage the elasticity of skin, and revitalize skin to make it look younger and more vibrant.  Revitol works to treat wrinkles but if your skin is looking a little on the saggy side, feeling dry and rough or just looks uneven, Revitol wants you to give their product a shot. 

What Are The Ingredients In Revitol Anti-Aging Solution?

Revitol's Anti Wrinkle Complex is made with Revitol's Proprietary blend: Coq10, DMAE, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, Dermox SRC, LipoLight OAP, and Skin Tightener ST.

Revitol provides a description of some of these ingredients on their website to help potential consumers understand their product.  DMAE stands for dimethylaminoethanol bitartrate.  This chemical is an antioxidant that helps to stabilize cell membranes and strengthens collagen and elastin in the skin.  DMAE may help to heal scars from acne as well as diminish age spots on the face.  Dermox SRC is another ingredient in the Anti Wrinkle Complex and Revitol claims that it is a special serum that works to diminish wrinkles and fine lines while building more collagen.  According to the website, LipoLight OAP has tiny “spheres” that work to reduce the shadows that are created by the wrinkles on your face.  This is supposed to help your face start to look younger and smoother while the other ingredients start working on getting rid of the wrinkles altogether.  Skin Tightener ST contains both herbal and marine ingredients that are meant to stimulate the growth of collagen and fibronectin to make your skin more firm and diminish wrinkles.  The Skin Tightener also includes some other chemicals with fancy names that promise to keep skin healthy and minimize your skin's movements that contribute to wrinkles.

Revitol's Anti-Wrinkle Treatment Serum contains another proprietary blend of chemicals and ingredients.  Matrixyl is meant to stimulate “fibroblasts” which help to keep collagen healthy in the skin.  Argireline is amino acids that are meant to relax the facial muscles and tension.  Hyaluronic acid helps to keep collagen healthy and skin hydrated.   Hydrolyzed wheat gluten and ceratonia siliqua are derived from wheat and locust bean and work together to tighten skin.  Macrocystis pyrifera, also known as kelp, makes skin smoother.  Edelweis extract is an antioxidant that fights the free radicals that make skin age.  Skin tightener ST is described above.  Pentacare NA is another component that tightens skin

Revitol's moisturizing cream contains argireline, atrixyl, hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed wheat gluen and ceratonia siliqua, macrocystis pyrifera, edelweis extract, skin tightener ST and pentacare NA which are all described above.  The moisturizing cream also has shea butter, which moisturizes and tightens skin. Squalene is an antioxidant that fights free radicals.  Evening primrose oil helps skin to keep its shape so that it does not wrinkle and sag.  

There are plenty of other ingredients in all three of these products, but it is too long, arduous and boring to list them all here.  If you are interested in Revitol's products you should obtain a complete list of ingredients to check for allergies.

How Does Revitol Anti- Aging Solution Work?

Good question.  Revitol's website makes some hazy claims that a micro emulsion formula will reach beneath the surface of the skin to contribute ingredients that will make skin look younger, smoother and firmer.  What these ingredients are and how they work to achieve the desired results is not explained.

How Do You Use Revitol?

All three components of the Revitol system suggest that you massage the product into your face and neck in the morning and at night for best results.  Be sure to avoid your eyes.

I was so repulsed by the website that I could not find anything to like about the Revitol Complete system.

My Dislikes

Revitol's website talks all about its “proprietary blend” and lists ingredients like Coq10, DMAE, SRC and Lipolight OAP.  What are these?  Does any person shopping on the website actually understand what these abbreviations are referring to and what these chemicals might do to their skin?  If you scroll down the page you will find some descriptions of what these chemicals are supposed to help your skin achieve.  The problem is that these descriptions are written with vague promises such as “promotes healthy skin” and “reduces the skin movements that may contribute to wrinkles”.  What does that mean for me as a potential user of the product?  I could not find any mention of clinical studies and the scientific validity of all these claims is dubious.  The kicker is in the description of the ingredient matrixyl, which Revitol claims will increase the smoothness and elasticity of skin.  The website claims that “This has been shown both by actual measuring and by interviewing people who have used Matrixyl.”  Wow, “actual measuring” of a product's effectiveness must surely be conclusive evidence that it will give me the results that I want.  I didn't even bother to try a sample of Revitol after reading this ridiculous piece of marketing information.   If you do decide to give Revitol a shot despite the lousy explanation of how the product actually works, there is a 90-day refund policy if you don't like it.  However, it appears that the 90-day refund only applies to unopened bottles of Revitol.  Clearly, you will have opened the bottles in order to try the product, so this may not offer you any benefit.  To me, this is not enough of a guarantee and it is not worth spending $60 to find out if the product will offer my skin any benefits.

My Conclusion

Revitol's website could not provide me with any reason to order and try the product.  Even the 90 day money back guarantee only applies to bottles that have not been opened.  The list of ingredients in the three products was intimidating.  There are so many chemicals with fancy, confusing names that by the time I finished reading about it I was feeling frightened that if I apply all that to my skin, it might burn my face right off.  This is why I like Athena 7 Minute Lift.  This product is botanically based and the website provides a clear description of what each of the ingredients and essential oils will do for my skin.  Nothing about Athena 7 Minute Lift makes me fear that applying the product will burn off my face.  I didn't even bother to place an order for Revitol to try it for myself, but Athena 7 Minute Lift intrigued me from the beginning.  When I use Athena I can actually notice a difference in my skin quickly and it gives me the lift I have been looking for without all the extra fright-inducing chemicals.
