What is Rejuvinol?

Rejuvinol is an anti-aging treatment that comes in the form of a topical cream.  One unique aspect of this product is that Rejuvinol is meant to be applied in the morning and its sister product Rejuvox is for evening use.  The idea behind these two products is that Rejuvinol moisturizes skin in the morning and Rejuvox treats wrinkles as you sleep at night.  Both products contain active ingredients that are found in many popular anti-aging treatments and have some scientific studies to show their efficacy.

How does Rejuvinol work?

The Rejuvinol AM formula focuses mainly on delivering moisture to the skin.  I couldn't find very much information about what kind of active ingredients are contained in Rejuvinol other than hyaluronic acid and some type of antioxidants and vitamins.  Hyaluronic acid is an active ingredient in various anti-wrinkle treatments and promises to deliver intense moisture to dry skin.  Rejuvinol claims to smooth your skin, increase elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen.

Rejuvox, which is the PM treatment, contains Argireline, which is a peptide that is found in many wrinkle creams.  Acetyl hexapeptide 3 is found in argireline and it works to relax facial muscles.  Aside from depletion and breakdown of collagen in the skin, creases in the facial muscles below the skin also contribute to wrinkles.  After years of repetitive use, the muscles start to form lines and creases and then the skin settles into those lines, and wrinkles form.  Argireline works to relax the facial muscles so that they smooth out and in turn the skin above the muscles becomes smoother.  Botox works under a similar idea, except that it is a compound that is injected below your skin, which paralyzes the muscles so that the wrinkles smooth out.  Rather than go through such an invasive and painful procedure, products like Rejuvox offer a chance to achieve similar results by simply relaxing muscles with a cream instead of paralyzing them with an injection.  You can use Rejuvox in any area where you are starting to notice wrinkles including your forehead, brow line, mouth and around your eyes.  You can also apply Rejuvox to your neck and chest.

How do I use Rejuvinol?

The morning and evening products require slightly different application.  In the morning, wash and dry your face and then apply Rejuvinol AM to your entire face and neck.  This will help you take advantage of the moisturizing properties of the product, and you won't have to use any other type of moisturizer on your face.  Be sure to use a gentle upward and outward motion as you massage the cream into your skin.  If you rub your skin too vigorously or pull it downward when you apply the cream, you may encourage more sagging and drooping in your skin.  Eventually, these actions repeated over time may counteract the benefit your skin receives from Rejuvinol.  At night, you should use the same gentle, upward and outward motion to apply Rejuvox PM.  Since the PM product works specifically to target wrinkles, you can just focus on the problem areas of your skin where you are starting to notice wrinkles forming.

My Likes

The price of Rejuvinol is one of its best features.  You can buy the set of both the Rejuvinol AM and Rejuvox PM products for $98.  At $49 per jar, this is a fairly standard price, except for the fact that these jars contain 1.7 fluid ounces of product.  Most anti-wrinkle products come in a 1 fluid ounce size.    This means you are getting more product for approximately the same price as many other treatments that are available.  The Rejuvinol system is priced reasonably when compared to many other anti-aging products.

Dermalogics, the makers of Rejuvinol and Rejuvox, offers a 30 day money back guarantee.  If you find that this product irritates your skin or is not giving you results, you can return it within 30 days of purchase.  I like to see products with a money back guarantee because that gives me an extra feeling of confidence that it will truly work.

My Dislikes

Are the distinct morning and evening formulations of Rejuvinol really necessary?  I have never seen any information from dermatologists suggesting that you need to use different skin treatments in the morning and at night.  It appears to me that the two different creams may be more of a marketing gimmick than actually fulfilling a need for your skin to have a morning and evening treatment.

Although I am glad that Dermalogics offers a 30-day money back guarantee for those who try Rejuvinol and Rejuvox, I would like to see a 60-day money back guarantee even more.  The 30 days starts when you first order the product, so by the time you receive and start using your treatment you will only have about 3 weeks to try it and see if it works for you.  This may not be enough time for you to really know if you are going to see the results that you are looking for from using Rejuvinol.  If Dermalogics offered a 60 day money back guarantee, I would feel much more confident about purchasing the product.

My Conclusion

Overall, I could not find very much information about Rejuvinol and Rejuvox.  They contain hyaluronic acid and argireline, which I have read about through my research on anti-aging products.  I do not know very much about the specific formulation of these two ingredients to be able to make a judgment on whether they will be as effective as Dermalogics claims.  Also, I am still skeptical of the necessity of using two different products for morning and evening.  I don't think that Rejuvinol does a very good job of explaining why you should shell out the cash for two products instead of just one.  In my opinion, if you are going to purchase two anti-aging treatments you should check out Athena 7 Minute Lift and LifeCell Skin.  They are two great products that offer different results.  Athena 7 Minute Lift is designed to give you immediate improvements to your skin with its blend of essential oils and antioxidants.  For a more permanent, long-term solution to your wrinkle issues, LifeCell is an excellent treatment that will continue to improve your skin as you use it.
