"Our Thorough 'LifeCell Skin' Cream Review - Our Top-Rated Anti-Aging Wrinkle Cream Of 2009!
Is There Any Hope for Me LifeCell?
As a baby-boomer I somehow managed to avoid the evidence that I was aging for years. Maybe it was denial. Maybe it was wishful thinking. But, I recently had an experience that forced me to face the unfortunate reality. When my husband and I learned the happy news that we were to become grandparents about a year ago, we shared the information with a good friend. She made all the appropriate gushing comments and then said to my spouse, "You don't look old enough to be a grandpa!"
The fact that no similar statement was directed at me served as a big wake-up call. Do I look old enough to be a grandma? After a searching look in the mirror, I had to conclude that the sad truth is, "Yes, I do." This discovery led me to do some research. I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to change this fact. Am I doomed to look my age forever? Is expensive and painful cosmetic surgery the only remedy? Is there any hope for me?
Happily, after studying the factors that make our skin look older, and reviewing a lot of literature written by dermatologists and other medical professionals, I concluded that there are some great products that can make me look as young as I feel. One of the best is called LifeCell Skin. It is a great all-purpose cream that has evened out my skin tone, firmed my neck and face, and given me an all-over lift. I'd like to share some of the information I learned that has given me hope, so that you can benefit from my experience.
Who Developed the Product?
Whenever
I use a new cosmetic or item of any kind that goes on my skin, I want to
know some of the science behind it. Have real researchers been involved, or
is the information just a lot of hype? Are there medical or biological
reasons for choosing the formulation of the product? Who came up with the
formula? In the case of LifeCell, I was very happy with the answers I found.
The prestigious doctors and dermatologists at South Beach Skin Care Clinic are the professionals who developed LifeCell. They understood that most creams and lotions that were being manufactured to help people improve their skin were completely useless. At their very best, the other products on the market only helped to correct one of the many factors that make our complexions look older. The people at South Beach wanted to come up with something that would be easy to use and provide an "all-in-one" way to combat all the reasons that skin begins to show its age. Well, they succeeded!
What Makes Skin Look Older?
To understand this better, let's look at a few of the ways that our skin changes as we grow older. First, we may lose elastin or collagen in the skin. Some nasty little microscopic villains called free radicals do a lot of this damage. They are all around us and cannot be avoided, but if your life involves any environmental factors such as pollution, allergens, smoking, stress, poor nutrition, or a host of other problems, you can be sure that free radicals are doing their dirty work on your skin. They attack and cause harm to otherwise healthy skin cells. Collagen is found in the deep layers of skin and is part of the connective tissue that helps it look firm and smooth. When it is damaged by free radicals, it tears, or splits and separates from the visible part of the skin, making a little pit' also known as a wrinkle.
-D3PA
Young people have an innate ability to fight off free radicals because their bodies produce an abundance of substances called antioxidants. As we get older, however, we produce fewer of these little crime fighters. Eating right and using vitamin supplements will help your body to keep producing as many antioxidants as possible. Dithiolane-3-Pentanic Acid is one of the main ingredients in LifeCell, and was put there because it is a powerful antioxidant that can help to fight your battles for you. D3PA is one of the longest-lasting antioxidants that has been discovered. While other things you may have heard about, (like Vitamin E or C, for example) also have free radical-fighting capabilities, D3PA lasts longer and is not easily overwhelmed by attacks from environmental sources. In fact, it is such an effective ingredient for helping skin to heal, that it is used to treat burn victims, and even people who have been exposed to radioactive waste.
-Idebenone
Another powerful antioxidant that is part of the formulation of LifeCell is Idebenone. This free-radical fighter is especially effective at shielding our skin from environmental pollutants. It doesn't matter where we live, in our modern lives we are sure to be exposed to things like pesticides, smog, second hand smoke, dust, and other chemicals that can cause our skin to look rough, dry, and lifeless. Idebenone has been proven to help combat these problems. Credible sources like Fitness Magazine, Time, and NBC News have all done reports on the benefits of using Idebenone to counteract the forces of aging. Unlike many other skin cream ingredients, this one has been the subject of real scientific, double blind studies that show that it is effective. It's reassuring to know that the information is not a lot of hype with only anecdotal evidence or personal testimonies to back it up.
· -Ascorbyl Palmitate
This ingredient is actually a form of Vitamin C. Until I started my study of skin and aging, I thought that Vitamin C was only good for fighting off the common cold. I soon learned that it is another great antioxidant, but in order for it to be the most effective at improving skin, it must be applied topically, and not swallowed. Many cosmetics have some form of C in them; unfortunately, most products use a form known as L-Absorbic Acid, which breaks down quickly when exposed to air. This means that after you have opened a jar of moisturizer with L-AA in it a few times, it has probably been reduced to a form that is totally useless for your complexion. LifeCell has Ascorbyl Pamitate, though, which is stable enough to retain its potency for months at a time. It is also much more concentrated than L-AA, so that it has about 10 times the free-radical fighting properties of its more commonplace cousin.
· -Deanol
Another component of LifeCell called Deanol has a slightly different function than the other ingredients mentioned here. It is meant to counteract the pull of gravity on muscles. As time goes by, all of us tend to see our faces "fall." Deanol helps to firm the muscles in our necks and faces by encouraging our bodies to produce more of a naturally occurring chemical called acetylcholine. This is a substance that is plentiful in young people and is released whenever muscles are used. Its quantity diminishes with age, however, and Life Cell helps to return it to normal levels. That's why body builders around the world use Deanol. It does wonders for making muscles looking firm and toned.
Now that you know some of the science behind LifeCell, I hope you will give it a try. Because of its careful formulation of ingredients, it is one of the only anti-wrinkle creams on the market that has the ability to attack all of the different problems we notice in our faces as we grow older. It can stop and even reverse sun damage, uneven pigment, dry patches, lip "feathering," and age spots. I've seen these improvements in my own skin, and I believe the same thing will happen for you. It has motivated me to exercise more, eat better, and generally take good care of myself. LifeCell has restored my self-confidence and made me feel like a Grandma who can have fun with her granddaughter for years to come.

Also, if you're feeling this economic downturn like the majority of us here in the U.S., my mom and I have sought out three creams that offer complementary, 100% GENUINE free trials that are completely safe for your skin and actually live up to their claims on their websites. Our favorite pick in this 'free trials' category is an 'Acai' cream called Lift Sp. You can view our review below:
Lift SP: What Can It Do For You?
There are literally hundreds of skin care products out there that claim to help us reduce or even eliminate the signs of aging that appear on our skin. Lift SP is a fairly new addition to this marketplace and was developed by skin care specialist Dr. Stephen Jepson. He is the director of the Utah Dermatalogic and Medical Procedures Clinic in Salt Lake City, and you might recognize his name from some of his many appearances on ABC TV, the Lifetime Network or Fox News. He is also the author of a best-selling book entitled 7 Ways to Look Younger Without Undergoing the Knife.
Dr. Jepson believes that women and men who want to look younger have many alternatives to costly and painful cosmetic surgeries. He developed Lift SP as a way for people who are concerned about wrinkles to see a nearly instantaneous improvement in the appearance of their skin. If you are like me, your suspicions may be raised by anything that claims to get instant results, so I took some time to investigate the ingredients and the science behind Lift SP.
Active Ingredients
The main components of Lift SP are several different polypeptides. If you are not a chemist or molecular biologist, that term may not mean anything to you, but simply put, peptides are chains of amino acids linked together. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein, and all of us know that adequate protein in the diet is important for good health. Lift SP also contains acai berry extract. This is the antioxidant-packed fruit of the South American rain forest that has received so much attention for its health benefits. But what about applying such things to our faces? Can that really help to reduce wrinkles?
You may be surprised to find out that clinical trials have shown that Lift SP really can help make wrinkles and lines less noticeable. The website makes no claims that the product can achieve permanent wrinkle reduction, but instead promises that it will create an instant lifting and firming effect that will last about...
