So How Do We Review The Creams???
The goal of this website is to cut through the hype and impossible claims that so many skin creams and facial-care products are famous for. We want to make it easier for you as an average consumers to choose lotions and serums that might work well for you without throwing your money away on highly marketed, over-priced, and sometimes worthless items.
In order to meet this goal, our team of writers has examined dozens of products. We are not scientists or doctors, but we have spent hours researching the most common ingredients that are used in anti-aging potions and read volumes of information on the topic. Whenever possible, we tried the creams that we reviewed ourselves. When we were not able to personally test items, we talked with our rather large circle of friends and family members about what they used, liked and disliked. At the very least, we visited the website of each company, studied the ingredient lists, read product reviews posted by real-life users and evaluated whether there was any science behind the claims that were made about the usefulness of the creams.
We developed a chart to use with each product, which would allow us to rate the products in several different areas. We ranked each category with stars from one to five. (Five being the best.) Here are the things we looked for when deciding on the rankings:

Effectiveness:
Based on personal experience, scientific studies, web reviews, and
testimonials from friends.
1=Completely ineffective.
5=Meets or exceeds claims made by the manufacturer.
Ingredients:
Based on research done at reputable sources like Web MD, medical
journals and Mayo Clinic.
1=Contains no ingredients proven to be helpful in fighting the signs of aging. May even be harmful.
5=Main ingredients shown to be useful by clinical, double blind studies.
Price:
An assessment of the value of the product for the money. Takes into
account the size of the bottle or tube and how long it should last
if used as directed.
1=Very expensive for the results you can expect.
5=Reasonably priced when ingredients and amount of product are considered.
Free
Trial: Some
companies offer a sample size of the product you can order. Others
offer to let you try the cream for a certain amount of time before
your check is cashed or your credit card billed.
1=No trial of any kind is offered.
5=A trial period is available that is sufficiently long to enable a user to make a determination of the usefulness of the product.
Money
Back Guarantee:
Some companies offer to give you a refund of your purchase price if
you are not satisfied after a certain length of time.
1=No guarantee at all.
5=You have at least 60 days to try the product and still get a refund with no questions asked.
Website:
Based on the user-friendliness of the site, visual appeal,
organization, and amount of product information that is available.
1=Poorly presented with little or no helpful content
5=Well designed, full of information and easy to use.
Clinical
Studies:
A Y or N indicates whether or not the company can point to any
clinical studies that were performed by independent scientists on
their products or their main ingredients.
Notes:
A few words to help you remember some the main points about each
product so that you can keep them straight after reading several
reviews.
We really hope that
our reviews are helpful to you as you try to determine the best
products for your skin care regimen. We understand that every person
has unique skin chemistry and that nothing works 100% of the time
for everyone. We also believe that the information we have compiled
here will be a valuable aid to your efforts to look and feel your
very best.
